about FCFI

As the admin of this website, I wanted to talk briefly about myself, why I made this website, how the name FCFI was chosen and the ultimate goal for this project.

Who runs FCFI?

My name is Daniel Aguilar.

I was born and raised in the beautiful sunny state of California, USA.

I'm currently studying at San Francisco State University.

I'm majoring in Business Administration with a minor in Journalism. I'm aiming to work for one of the top tech companies in my area in the future and also really enjoy writing overall.

I'm a very passionate sports fan. I absolutely love Juventus and follow the team almost religiously.

I also love my hometown American Football team: The Oakland Raiders.

If you didn't know what colors the Raiders represent, they are the same as the Bianconeri colors: Black & White. Black & White is simply in my blood.

With the passion I have for my clubs and writing, I decided to merge them together and FCFI came into fruition as a result.

What is FCFI for?

As an American, I know just like everyone else that the USA isn't super huge on football as it is with American Football, Basketball and Baseball.

From my perspective, there's a saddening scarcity of football coverage where I'm from and I want to take an initiative to change that with this website.

I don't really know at the moment how I can be the most impactful on others through this but I'm hoping that with time I'll figure that out.

As I mentioned earlier, Juve holds a very dear spot in my heart. I have tremendous pride in my Black & White colors. I love keeping up with all the latest news during the free time I have throughout the day. As a result, I feel more than fairly informed.

I want to take what I know, my feelings and opinions on everything Juventus/Serie A related and share it here. While I will mostly be prioritizing content regarding Juventus/Serie A, I will also talk about virtually anything else football related that I feel like talking about.

Deciding the name

FC stands for football club.

This website will be run and covered by fans of the sport like myself. Hence the “fan” part.

Lastly, since this won't be handled by actual journalist’s, I felt that “insider” was the right term.

All together, I feel like the name correctly represents this website. Football fans that will be covering their clubs like an insider.

This was hard to come up with but when the name came to mind I knew this would be it.

Ultimate goal

Over whatever amount of time it may take, I would like to find other very passionate football fans to build a community of writers for this website. Even if they aren't Juventini, I would love for anyone to cover their club the way I will on here. It's all about building a community. Apart from this, it's also personally important to myself to help grow football coverage where I'm from. I would like to convince those I personally know and my fellow Americans into following the beautiful game. Through my interactions with people and this website as a reference, I want to do my part to help grow football passion similar to mines in the states.
